How to Convert a Spare Room into a Man Cave

The kids are gone and now you have a spare room in your home. What should you do with it? Shute, don’t save it for them so they have a place to sleep on that one night that they’ll come back to visit! Instead, turn it into an awesome man cave, of course!

First, you’ve got to take some time and walk through the space. Visualize what you want your Man Cave to look like. However, be realistic in your assessment of the space and function. Television Wall: A television wall is just that…it is a wall made up of televisions! You can choose to use all of the televisions at once to show one large wall image, or you can choose to watch multiple channels at one time. In other words, we can set it up similar to what your local sports bar has.

Screen and Projector: You can show even larger images with a projector! We can make it to where the screen is retractable and have it hide inside your ceiling. With the projector, we can install it on your existing ceiling, but why not have that retract to somewhere hidden as well, right? Online streaming will be a cinch to do after we show you how to use it.

Surround-Sound Speakers: Uh…that’s a must! You want to feel like you are in a movie theater at times, right? Of course you do. Plus, when you just want to play music, surround-sound speakers will give you that mind-blowing sound you’ve been searching for. We can put together a home-theater system that will knock your socks off!

Acoustic Treatment: Yeah, it’s a fancy way to say that sound-proofing your man cave is suggested. After all, the last thing you need to hear while you are enjoying your man cave is “Turn it down!” Acoustically treating your cave will not only eliminate complaints, it will improve the audio quality in there and allow you to live uninhibited.

Motorized Black-out Curtains/Shades: There are several perks to having black-out shades or curtains. Having them motorized is even better. Black-outs will provide better picture quality, less glare, keep your cave cool and of course give you the privacy you deserve.

Lighting: Improve the atmosphere and ambience of your man cave with intentional lighting. Guests you have visit your man cave will appreciate it to.

Kegerator, Mini-Fridge, or Hidden Liquor Cabinet: This one almost goes without saying. After all, you need something to prevent you from getting thirsty while you’re in that cave of yours, right? Kegerators (small, sleek refrigerators designed to tastefully store and hide a keg from view) are perfect for hosting groups of friends during game night. The CO2 built-in pump will pour frothy beer just like you’d get from a bar. If beer isn’t your thing…no problem. These days, almost anything is possible for your man cave. What about a hidden liquor cabinet? We don’t make cabinets, but we can work with your contractor to make it happen if you want to go there.
